Interlocking cassette panels
Initially, composite aluminium was selected for this project, however, during the design process, it was changed to zinc.
It became apparent to the owner and IRP Architects that zinc would be better suited to the house than applied paint on account of its naturally weathered surface and texture.
The zinc would also provide more options for the custom installation using ZC Technical’s cassette system.
Proven profiles, precious metals
After working through an extensive range of colour combinations, blue-grey Rheinzink was chosen for all soffits. Neutral VM quartz-zinc was used for the flat walling.
The VM Zinc interlocking panels for the feature pop-out sections were created in autumn red, a gorgeous tone that will allow the metal’s texture to remain visible.
The client’s love of the products inspired them to choose ZC Technical to install all gutters, fascias, downpipes, and a rainwater head in VM quartz-zinc to minimise maintenance.
Lifelong value
The careful choice and quality installation of such striking elements will ensure that the exterior ages gracefully.
Nestled into the hillside and built to last, The Gap residence stands in timeless harmony with its surroundings.
